I would prefer to have something grounding it and you certainly have the room. Something lighter in color, maybe and at least several inches longer than the mirror. Looks a bit like an empty brown castle. I really like what you've done so far.

I was thinking something like this and turn the mirror vertical above it.

I could see the buffet there. I think the mirror at 62" is too long to hang there vertically.
