We painted our front hallway and stairway walls with Glidden "Juicy Canteloupe". Probably not for everyone, but we love the color. It brightens the hallway and lights up in the sunshine and it goes with the NPS poster art. There is a lot of wood trim that goes throughout the upstairs halls and the downstairs hallway. It is painted with something very similar to the "Pebble White" that Glidden says is complementary to JC, but I don't like it. I am thinking that a sort of barn wood grey (possibly with a subtle silver "sheen") would be attractive. Perhaps more so if it could be given some texture or graining. Has anyone done something like this or worked at achieving a "barn wood look" without the actual barn wood? Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
