You don't need one, but the hallway is slightly unbalanced.

One solution I'm seeing is to just put the chairs and table on the other side underneath the mirror, instead of next to the stairway.

Once you flip the furniture to the other side, hang the two pictures right next to each other instead of staggered in that space under the stairs. Also, center the run in the hallway.

That entire configuration is just not what I would do. I would get rid of those chairs and that nightstand table because they don't make any sense, no two people are going to sit there in that entry way side by side with each other. By removing that, there will be enough room width-wise for a piece of drawer furniture on that wall under that mirror. Then if there is room (I can't really tell) then i would put one chair (not two chairs) closer to the door if you wanted to.

I would just turn the mirror vertically if you didn`t want to do anything else.

Try switching the arrangement. Put the console and chairs under the mirror.

Trade the console table and lamp with the little round table. Find a new home for the little.

Looks ok to me. I would lower the mirror a few inches.

I like the setting but that space looks a bit dark don't you agree? The lamp is too big replace it with a smaller one.

That is actually not a nightstand. It was sold as an accent table. That wall is pretty long, and the hallway is really long too. And where this goes is not right by the door, it is at least 20 ft from the door.

The mirror on the wall is 62 inches long, so I am considering at least a 60 inch narrow console table and put the 2 chairs on either side. I need the additional seating this offers.
