Nice find Agartta....How are your baby adeniums coping with the cold weather??? I swear my plants are shivering along with me this morning.

Rachel - Yes I managed to find a few nice grafts from RareImports in Wa they import from Thailand and do all the quarantine stuff. I would not be able to import them myself with all the customs hassle.

My baby Adeniums are 3 months old. They all happy little vegemites. The out during day and inside under led lights at night. I only got 1 Somalense and 1 Thai Soco Golden Bell.

These are still looking good Agartta. It's not easy growing little babies in Winter...you are doing a great job. Your branching one should turn out nicely. :)

Maybe that place that imports can /order/ certain plants /for/ you Agartta. Like a purple you were dying to get? That red is very nice and your seedlings are looking very good. ;)

Hyn - yes the Adenium importer in my town did have 2 supposed to be Purple but they looked nothing like purple, they were more like faded light pink/purple, didnt look to great, but me being a noobie didn't realise they change bloom color as they age and become more intense, so I didn't buy them, now I kinda reget it. I am watching their site daily to see any more purple on their site :) lol

These flowers are such a delight to look at - great job! I’m just wondering how do you keep the plants happy without the leaves from turning yellow which I’d seen in others?

Josephine - I make sure soil has free drainage, no saucer under pot, and pots are not too small. I used half poting mix half coco peat, half perlite.

I water when the soil looks dry. Also fertilise regularly in summer. I also pick any yellow leaf off.
