Size of raised bed for dwarf cherry trees

I need to make raised beds for some dwarf cherry trees (Gisela 3 rootstock) given the less than ideal native soil I have for cherries. Would a 4 x 4 foot by 1 foot deep raised bed be big enough to have a successful tree, or do I need to create a bigger raised bed than that?
