I've made lemon balm mosquito repellent by soaking lemon balm leaves in witch hazel and then adding a few drops of mint or lemon grass essential oils. I can't remember the exact recipe right now. I made it last year. It works but not as well as deet. You have to apply it more often. However, deet is poison. Maybe try lemon plant and mint oils in your pumper sprayer.

We've had good luck with using Cedarcide cedar oil as a base and adding lemon eucalyptus and rose geranium essential oil drops for tick and mosquito repellent.

I never updated you. Those I received from you worked! For the skeeters and black flies on the dogs. I tried them all. They irritated. The dogs kept wiping/rubbing it off. I continued to use them until I could get a cheap bottle of fly spray (for horses) from Atwoods. But I saw it work. All of them.
