I just bought some Cannova Cannas in Rose, Mango and Shades of Orange. The plants are quite short at this point...maybe 12" high and are already sending up the flower scapes. The tag says they grow to 30"-48" high.
My question is: has anyone else grown these and do they really get this tall? Is the height including the flower? I would also love any input you have on growing them. They will be in full sun.
I am trying to plan my front bed with these, a couple of dahlias that get about the same height and also a few other cannas including Rosemond Cole, Burning Ember and Golden Lucifer. Of course I would like the shortest ones in the front. I also plan on adding some shorter annuals like zinnia, salvia and marigold on the edge of the border.
Thanks for you input!
