We are on a well in an area which experiences yearly water issues. Over the past 2 summers we have experienced a cloudy water issue, which we initially blamed on low water table (although that explanation was weird for a number of reasons, not the least of which was that our property has abundant water). Anyway, I started up the irrigation system for the first time this year yesterday, and within hours our water was very cloudy. I realized that what is happening is that silt in the drip lines is washing back into the house system. We didn't put a filter on our system when we put it together, because we were using very clean well water. But now we realize that the water needs to be filetered in the other direction.
