Three I am really happy about

First one, this is 'Ann', first bloom for this plant. It did nothing until I put it under a grow light bulb, the curly type. It also gets some window light, but it took off after I moved it under that bulb. The bloom is a little darker than in the photo.

Next is 'Lunar Lily White', it is taking off and blooming well. It had pH issues and I had to wait for it to out grow that. Its growing in an east window, natural light.

Next is '"Bob Serbin'. I only had a baby plant, but then a friend from our local club gave me this large plant. The red looks like velvet. It is in a combination of window light and a grow bulb.

Ann's a tricky one. Good job. I've often wanted to try a leaf of it just to see what it might do for me. But never going to get into a bidding war over it. Yours is looking good!

A friend sent me a leaf a couple of years ago and I got a small plant from that. It was growing okay for a while, then my husband dropped a light fixture on it, lol. So I started over with a leaf. That took forever to do anything. Then when it was still barely growing, I put it under the curly light bulb and you see the results. I think she is one who needs whatever spectrum the bulb puts off. You are so right about those bidding wars, I would never have done that and would have never had the plant without my generous friend, and she sent the leaf to me as a surprise in with some others.

I agree that there is probably a higher spectrum of a particular light wave with that bulb that the others were lacking that she needs. Very nice. I will keep that in mind if I ever get an Ann to try myself.

I found this out purely by accident, lol. I used to buy this bulb at Walmart, but my store stopped carrying them. Need to order some I guess.

Great looking trio! I have grown Bob Serbin & it is a fine plant and yours is lovely. I grow Ann now and she is a gem of a plant. I'm really intrigued by Lunar Lily White. . . so unusual!

All 3 beautiful plants. I have been having good luck with some daylight LED bulbs in some desktop lamps to supplement the east window lighting, especially on cloudy days.

They are lovely! I especially like Ann... I almost got this one once upon a time, but the Size of it intimidates me! ;) i could fit 10 minis in the space she takes up! Lol!

Love love Bob Serbin. And those wasp blooms are so wild! I'm eager for my leaves to send up babies. ;)

Three gorgeous and very different plants/blooms - don't grow any of them but I wish I did! I know what you mean about discovering the secret to growing your Ann - sometimes it is all luck to stumble on exactly what our plant needs to do its best. Sure wish they could talk! ;-)
