the large tv on that wall, with the current layout, seems like it may be off balance to me

The art over the console is too far away from the art over the settee to clash. The art over the settee needs to be lowered so it's 5 - 8" above the back. That settee looks a little lonely. You might use a plant on one side or the other of it, and maybe a decorative pillow.

All of these items you add can you tell me where I could buy them? Love the pillow and yes I will take a picture of the other side as well I can move furniture like you said

terri, if you can go on a computer or lap top, there is often a click spot under the pic will take you straight to it.

I don't know. Sometimes a dark little corner needs a soft glow esp at night. Or maybe a silver mirror.

Here's the other side of room with furniture moved to accommodate future tv on wall yet again more space with no interested . You can see how it is open concept here and talking about all the same area.

Thanks for the extra photos. It gives a better sense of the space which is really lovely, just a tiny bit bare. You don't have to do much to make this place sing. My immediate suggestions: find the right media console, at least 25% wider than the TV (longer is better) and don't hang the TV too high; replace the mirror over the fireplace with art for more interest; use the colors in that art to add a couple of pillows or a throw.

You have a stunning view and a lot of architectural interest in the ceiling. Go minimal with your decor to let these features star.

Give me some time to do a rendering which might give you a better sense of how you might coordinate art and decor.

Thank you Teri. I do think this furniture layout works better to tie in the fireplace and tv as focal points, as the sofa would face the tv, and the tv wall would seem more open. How does the arrangement feel to you? You could also try turning the armchair you moved to be at 90º to the sofa, directly facing the tv.
Grover is right, the space has a good feel. Another good point is that you won't have glare on your tv.
I think a floor lamp would be a good addition, for gentle ambient lighting. Also, how about some logs near the fireplace in a holder

Groveraxle can you do another look that is slighlty more formal? I'm not a fan of my paint choice :). I should have gone gray so the earthy brown tones are not working for me :( and I can't repaint anytime soon. It runs thorough out my house...

Looks great! Cute plant!!! Yes, once you lower the art piece you are good in that space!! Home Goods is a GREAT spot for toss pillows and throws.... love that!

We just purchased two console tables and butted them up together. I think they were from overstock or amazon. My tv is not centered as yours is. However, it is centered with the room and sofas.

A 70" console is not wide enough for a 70" TV.

A 70" Vizio is 62" wide. (I believe a Samsung is even wider, so you'll need to check the actual dimensions of the TV you're getting.) At 62", you need a console that is AT LEAST 82" wide. Even that only gives you 10" on each end. I wouldn't go any shorter.

I like the style of the console. I also like the art and pendant and that the TV is probably a 36". Make it easy on yourself and get a slightly smaller TV!!

regarding the ruggable. i have some of those rugs, could you save that way? can i see what you like? i might have an indoor outdoor that is good. one that i have and they showed.

Thoughts on Backsplash?

Marco corona has a more subdued warmer mix of similar tiles... some hex some square.

we have marco corona on a full wall in our master.. the white portion is more subdued as in a slight wash effect which is minimal yet makes the tiles less stark than what you are showing as examples.

some examples the the square tiles.

I'd go with one pattern unless mixing with solids.

some are very subtle such as the center one and the second to bottom left.

I like the backsplash.

That would be too much, in my opinion. It's something you'll be living with every day.

Get a calmer splash and then go wild with some outrageous accessory.....a piece of art....that you can change if you get bored.

This is semi-permanent and quite an expensive hassle to change.

Would you want a blouse with that print that you had to wear all the time? Or a more basic blouse that you could add a scarf or a necklace to if you wanted a different look?

It's also a matter of upstaging the beautiful counters.

Appears they will be to deep looking at your second post with the art. Commode looks close to the wall. A shallow shelving really doesn't allow you to dress it properly. I'd personally go with art.
