couple of average joes

a NOID... fairly generic I suppose but overall the color, overlapping pedals, and scent make for a pretty nice little plant.

It also seems to be a nice grower... you can see here it is getting ready to bloom on a pretty short tip. Also the branches are nice and fat, none of that pencil-thin nonsense :)

Another new favorite, from a cutting I rescued from a business that is going to be torn down. To be fair it is very probably an Aztec Gold vs a common yellow. Even still, never having an Aztec Gold I was still very surprised when it bloomed- nice big blooms, nice smell, etc.

One reason why I think I never realized how big the blooms are is that everything is big on this plant. The leaves are huge! So maybe in photos that makes for an optical illusion.

I have heard though that Aztec Gold has sort of a large/open growth structure. The parent plant of this one actually had a pretty tight canopy vs. something like a Miami Rose that has a ton of daylight between every branch. So who knows, maybe it is a seedling of an Aztec Gold or something else entirely. No way to know!
