How big of a pot, what kind of soil, was it exposed to cold temps when you moved, how much water do you give it when you do water, was there a change in the water supply (well to city?). We need a bit more to go on.

Hi there! I have attached a few more pics to show the size of the pot in relation to the plant. I think the pot is about 24cm/ 10inch diameter.

Pot contains some form of compost. I bought the plant 3 months ago and have not repotted it. The plant has been in same position (back wall of conservatory away from windows) all the time and marks have only appeared this week.

As mentioned above, I only water when top inch dries out. I water until water starts trickling into saucer below and always empty saucer after and make sure pot is not left standing in water. I have always given it luke warm tap water, usually amounting to about one fizzy drinks bottle worth (1.75l/ 0.4UK 0.5US gallon). Depending on weather, this could be 2x week.

I also discovered the same problem on my Monstera d. 'Money Mask', which is a tiny plant in comparison and sits in a pot with diameter of about 2.5 inches. See below. Compost here contains much more fibre and drains better than the large plant. I water according to same principles as the large one and have been misting both heavily for the last three mornings as i was worried they might get too hot during day when i am out

is humidity so low in a conservatory.. that you need to mist ... what was the basis to decide to do this???

anything in the misting water ... or your water in general???

I was thinking that they might need extra humidity as protection for warmer temperatures (30C/86F+). Should I be worrying about such temperatures or is this something it can cope with? Can misting be damaging? I only mist with lukewarm tap water.

where are you.. how hot is hot inside the house ..... and outside .. and what do you mean.. a conservatory ... are we talking glassed in hothouse???

Hi Ken. I am in the UK. What we call a conservatory is an extention of the house with a glass roof and windows all the way round. Mine is south facing, blinds are always down so no direct sunlight. Outside its spring temperature but inside when the sun is shining it gets 30C/86F and above. Thanks, Andre
