Sesters dwarf would be the slowest grower of the bunch

Raz, to get you started in the right direction you might start by driving around and seeing what others in the area are growing with success and pick out a couple of species. After that you could nail down some nice cultivars I'm sure. For example do you know if Picea pungens in general do good in your area and zone. I'm an east coaster and wouldn't guess.

Yes there are lots of blue spruce in our area that do well. Some are giant, some are not maybe because they are young. But driving around I do not know what variety they are. I believe all of the ones I listed do well in the area, the nursery is called emerald desert- they state 'we grow most of our trees and shrubs from bare-root so they are fully acclimated to our region’s cold winters and hot dry summers.'

From what I have read on this forum, hoopsii never quits growing, and you can keep it until it gets too large and then remove it.

Bakeri was not as pretty as Hoopsii, plus it may also get too big.

Vanderwolf pine was pretty and somewhat blue, it may be a little smaller than Hoopsii , and I think the limbs bend when covered with snow.

Blue Cloak may be too small for the space and not fill it up.

I have the other trees for my landscape narrowed down, but the bluish specimen I wanted I can't seem to narrow down. The list above is what I have to pick from.

the bluenesss is a wax coating on the green leaf .. which can wear out over a season .. and the years ..

look at any of them at the store.. interior.. older needles are not quite as blue ...

one way to keep them as blue as can be ... is to NOT water them with lawn sprinklers .. if that is what you meant by saying .. it will have irrigation water ...

they are all trees.. they will never stop growing ... so the power lines could be an issue ...

i dont think you mention.. how far away from the house you will be planting ...

if possible.. i would suggest.. not to go larger than 3 foot ... the larger the specimen.. the larger the stresses ...

Lots of room between the house and bed, about 100 feet. This is a bed near the sidewalk where these will be planted to provide privacy.

There will be drip irrigation to keep them watered.
