help with english ivy

I have a potted ivy and some of the leaves are drying out or dying from the tips inward. see photo below. Any ideas as to what this is and how I can stop/avoid it? Thanks all for your help.

Might just be transplant shock. Overall they look pretty happy. IME ivy is happy with average moisture, but I don't know about how dry it will take. Bright indoor light is similar to outdoor shade, so it should be fine in that regard.

How long has it been in the same pot? Setting: indoor or outdoor and light levels? Can you show the whole plant?

recently replanted from small pots. indoor--hot, bright and dry.

Hot and dry is not going to be good for indoor ivy. Bright will be OK but not direct sun. It's actually quite hard to keep healthy indoors and often ends up with spider mites. The House Plant Forum often has people asking about difficulties with ivy.

Mostly wanting to make sure the pictured damage is not a disease or mold. I am aware indoor bright and dry is not ideal. $20 experiment:) Will check out the house plant forum thanks all!

No sign of any diseases or molds and ivy is not prone to those issues. But it IS highly prone to spider mite damage when grown indoors........it is almost inevitable.

i've tried marigolds before but they were the worst for spider mites. i also have a hibiscus which is a mite magnet. i'll be sure to check it daily thanks for the heads up.
