Breaking dormancy

Hi!

My Adenium Obesum is dormant, and I want to wake it.

About 6 months ago it developed a nasty case of the mealybugs. It had been a bit neglected (I thought it needed to be kept super dry), and was already losing a few leaves, so I figured that I'd let it go dormant, lose its leaves, and then I'd have a simpler plant to de-mealybug.

So, it's now free of bugs and free of leaves. The caudex is firm and green. How do I encourage it to regrow it's leaves?

I'm in the bay area, so won't see temps much beyond a high of 80 in late summer.

Give it good sunlight, warm temps and minimal watering until it is pushing out new Branch growth. Increase watering slowly until summer once this begins.

Nothing to do, as it will let you know when it is ready to begin growing.

Outdoors will give it the best sunlight, indoors the most warmth. Which would you recommend? It hasn't had a drop of water in 6 months or more. Should I give it a little sip or stay dry until I see new growth?

If it will get sunlight and temperatures 70F + or better, then outside. If you only have a few, then take them in at night.

You could give it a little water (2 oz.)
