Speckly seed pods! So pretty

Wow! Didn't know they got that long (1st pic)

Are they naturally pollinated? Is it possible to easily hand pollinate?

Sure, send me a self addressed stamped envelope. I will assign a number to each seed pod and that is how you should label the new seedlings. ex. RHM-009.

If that's ok with you, I would gladly send you some seeds.

Id prefer a SASE as I already have a bunch of requests and it just makes it so much easier.

A small envelope with .49 cent stamp is all you need. Hoya seeds are so tiny.

My method is similar to Auroras, the difference is I use a cats wisker and a dissecting scope. Aurora's Facebook post is great for locating the essential flower parts for pollination.

Which cat do you steal the whisker from, lol? I tried the whisker method, but it was too flimsy (for me), so I started using ultra fine tweezers.

The nearest cat usually works. Haha. I have been luck with the cats wisker. I apprenticed with an orchid grower and he had me going around pollinating with a cats wisker. I guess most orchid people use whiskers.

How do you keep the whisker steady? That's my biggest hurdle. It just seems to want to go where I DON'T want it to go, lol. What side of the whisker do you use? The root side, or feeler side (lol)? Thanks :)

A cats wisker tappers of to one of the finest points in nature. I usually cut off 1/2 inch of the tip and use that. It's still very fine but you have more control over it.
