I can see shimmery window panels pooling on the floor.

Check out metallic paints, Painting your ceiling and that little alcove with the sculpture will make the space even more of a little jewel box.

These are great suggestions. I was just so afraid of what to put on the walls. I just didn't want to make the room feel crowded or crammed. The lamps and mirror on the wall above buffet and the walls with the cart, just seemed like so much with such a small room.

Lots of styles here. Personally I would get a rug first.

You have a high wainscot in this room. Therefore your concern about making the upper space too busy is justified.

I would first find a chandelier that you absolutely LOVE that will become the WOW factor in this room. Then the eyes will move to the metallic chairs which are show stoppers in and of themselves.

Then, I personally would go for the metallic paint on the ceiling and the alcove to create more reflective surfaces and glam.

Then move to finding the perfect curtains - go for subtle shimmer with pooling on the floor.

Then and only then, think about what to put on the walls above your wainscot and accessories a top your buffet...........you may not need anything!

I hesitate to send you this image because it is not your style, but it does illustrate the beauty of a reflective metallic paint ceiling in a glam dining room. Of course, yours would be in silver ......but you could introduce gold. It is on trend now to mix metals and would work in your room.

It would be nice to see a different chandelier in the room and a lovely rug, along with some lovely window treatments. Maybe even some artwork?
