Now that you mention it, it makes sense. Guess it just looks a little bit different than the other nutsedge I've came across in my yard.

It could be kyllinga ....which is similar, but it doesn't matter, because both are controlled with 'Image'

So I've tried two apps of "Image" and nothing. Here are some current photos of the grass/weed a little taller. Any other ideas?

Being it's in bunches, couldn't you just spray selectively with round-up?

I could and I have no problem doing that, just thought I'd see if I could get rid of it without having to sacrifice the surrounding bermuda and progress i've made with the bermuda spreading.

So after looking around online, looks like this might be a type of Buffalo Grass. So looks like a glyphosate application is going to be my answer.

Definitely a grass, not a sedge. Roundup would work but it will leave some nasty dead spots as well. If it's buffalo, then try 2,4d. Most herbicides are listed as ok for buffalo, but 2,4d isn't on that list so it may be your secret weapon. Do not use it on your good Bermuda, as it will stress out the tif

Same here, I'm in Houston. I don't wait for cool weather but I'm kind of a rule breaker by nature

So bringing this one back to life..

With everything waking back up over the past few months, this grass is still around. I've given it a few heavy apps of 2,4d and it seems to stress it but never completely kills it. Do you still think 2,4d is my best bet, besides "roundup"? Should I go heavier with the 2,4d or try something else?

I'd hit it with roundup and plug some Bermuda into the bare spot.
