It's always nice to look at thriving trees, thank you! My small mandarin has a similar tight and bushy growing habit as the one in the third picture, and I hope it does look like it in the future :)

The Page is about 8 years old, the others maybe 4 bought from Harris. I got 2 Meyers, one from Walmart and one from Harris.

The Meyer in the picture has just been repotted,3 weeks ago from a big container to a bigger one, it seems to be very happy. I grafted 5 Dekopons and 3 of them took. Laura, since you are a pro with lemons and lime's got to ask you a question, what is the best lime for Margarita's that you grow.

Are the pots half buried?

Bob, I'm good with lemons, but not with beverages ;-). I think the only time I ever tried a margarita was in college 20 years ago....lol! I would suspect (and I stress the word suspect), that key limes or Persian limes would be best...I prefer key limes.

No, citrus does not need to be buried but it would be smart to build up with mulch on the southside of the container(sun exposure). My figtree's are 2" in the ground plus mulch so that the roots could wander out into the mulch, way less watering.

Only 10? Such control. You need at least 2 kumquats, plus lemon, lime, then all the oranges, mandarins, etc ;)
