I think the biggest change you could make in this space would be to replace the floors. I would go with a 12"x24" tile pattern. I would then replace the pulls on your vanity with something more updated. If you want new countertops, I would get a neutral colored remnant and purchase a faucet to match the finish of the knobs. If you can save this counter, just replace the faucet.

Hello, Not a pro but I think the towel holders should go as well as the toilet cover. Have you thought of a blue/gray paint color? Then a piece of art maybe. The cabinet I think is ok, but the faucet could be updated.
