If it is a 'bush' type, I guess it is suppose to grow as a bush? I am not familiar with this one; but have grown some bush type and left them to grow as they wanted. It is determinate plant IIRC. I would think you could prune off some branches if you can't manage the plant - otherwise I wouldn't. You may get less fruit if you do? Suckers usually grow from the crotch where leaf is attached to stem (sometimes from the very bottom of the plants stem too). I prune some of those on indeterminate toms.
