OT: Anyone else having this problem with their apple products?

When I enter this or any of the GW forums, I'm fine. If I then click on a thread, and then click back when done in the thread I get this question mark. (see my arrow pointing to the question mark.)

The problem is when the question mark shows up, I need to refresh the page to be able to click on any new thread.

It started happening a few months ago when I was in FL on an old MAC, so I thought it was a problem with my MAC in FL. However as soon as I got back to NY and onto my less than 1 year old MAC, (and after first updating both the operating system and Safari), I still seem to be having this problem.

Clearing my cache didn't help. Does anyone else have this problem?

Edited to add that the houzz response to this is it's only my problem even when I posted in two other forums and had many responses showing it's not just me.

Make an appt at the Apple store, you can do it online. If they can't fix it then you're covered for a new one.

Why would I be covered for a new one? This is only a problem on these forums. NOWHERE else. And it happened with both my MACS, the one in FL and the one here in NY. Two completely different computers.

I am having a similar problem on my iPad, but without the blue question mark box - I need to frequently refresh to click on a thread before it'll open. In my case, I get two very faint horizontal lines across the screen. When I see those lines, I know I need to refresh. It only happens on this page.

Yep, I'm having some problems, but not that particular one. I can't seem to access messages to be able to send one.

I get the lines like Bluebell described on my iPad. I also can't switch from one forum to another using the breadcrumbs at the top of the page - I have to go back to the main forum menu.

My iPad is doing exactly the same thing as Bluebell's. I have to constantly refresh for thread links to be active.

I'm having the same issue as Bluebell's. I have a MacBook. When I see the faint lines, I have to refresh the page to open a post or move to a different forum.

The line thing is happening to me, too, on my iPad. When that happened before, it was a pop-up that I couldn't see because the image was being blocked by my ad blocker, but the pop-up outline still showed up. Eventually, Houzz stopped hosting the pop-up and it stopped happening. I have no idea if that's the case this time. I just refresh the page and go on reading.

I have the same problem on phone and ipad. I think it's a problem caused by Houzz.

Please write them yourself. I have and they seem to think it's a problem only with my computer. Here's the link. Then click on at the top where it says Summit a Request.

I have the problem with the lines as well. Have had it for months. An easy fix to refresh but still annoying.

I use an iPadair and an IPhone and never see lines or questions marks. When refreshing is needed it's usually when I have a bunch of other websites open in the background. After I swipe them away my need to refresh vanishes. (My grandkids taught me about swiping.)

I use a MacBook and started having similar issues about a month or so ago. I am not able to use the back button to get out of a thread as I used to. I've been going back to the top of the page and clicking on the green "Home Decorating" link on the left side of the page. Same thing with other Houzz forums. I don't have the issue on my iPhone or when I use my PC.

    ETA: I submitted the request.

I'm having the same problem. MacBook Air here. I have to refresh before moving between Home Decorating forum and discussions and sometimes between threads. This has been happening for a week or two.

Wow - thought I was the only one. I haven't noticed the question mark box, but I have to refresh after I click on a thread. It only happens on GardenWeb, not Houzz discussions. I use a desktop Mac.

Not happening on my iPad, which is really old. It does, however, have a new issue with Facebook display.

    Update:

Emily H just posted this in the Kitchen thread I posted:

Hi there, Thanks for all your persistence! Our team has been taking a look at this. They think they have found the issue and hope to have a fix out this week.

My problem is that I can't post anything onto this forum from my Ipad. Very annoying!

I am constantly having to refresh when I am on my iPad. Very frustrating. I only have the problem when I am on the forum.

I’ve been having the same problem on my Mac desktop. Hope they can get it fixed soon, I’ve curtailed my visits because it’s so annoying to have to refresh after every post read.

I hope the double posting gets fixed too and post showing up in the wrong forums it's very frustrating.

Ugh, I have been having this problem for awhile too. Has definitely caused me to not spend much time on this and the conversation side. After opening a thread there is a thin line and anything above that line I can not open with out going back out. Below the line I can click and open. Have not experienced it with my iPad or iPhone - only with my MacBook. Thank you for posting about this.

It's still happening today, but hopefully they are now working on it.

I'd been having a problem with my iPad, needing to refresh after viewing a particular post in any forum. As of last night, it seems to have been fixed, as I'm not having that issue anymore. Thanks for fixing it!!

Thank you, cpartist, for starting this conversation. I think hearing from so many people motivated them to address it quickly. So much more pleasant now!

Please don't thank me. It was the fact we all wrote them or posted here that they finally saw it was a problem they were having.

    Whew!
