Three years ago I planted Gurnsey Cream near my maple tree with fencing to grow up the trunk. Last year it had a few blooms that were tiny and some missing petals so were just the anthers. I thought probably first year bloom. This year the vines have doubled in growth but the flowers are the same. Some are perfect two inch GC blooms others are missing or have deformed petals.

I conclude that the plant is under too much stress and will move it when it has finished flowering. Do you agree?
