I bought a bag of 12 or so ranunc corms at Home Depot and planted them on March 20. I did soak them in water for 10 hours but did not pre sprout them. It was a very educational experiment. I have 4-5 sprouts and only 1 has a bud. They only started growing after I began weekly fish emulsion waterings a month or so ago. We've gotten lucky with having a true spring with cooler temperatures and I'm sure that has aided in the success (one bud - hah!).

Next year I plan to buy some quality corms and pre sprout them after soaking for sure. I'm not sure if I should plant them earlier. I'll do some more research and ask my flower farmer friend when she planted hers for she's had she beautiful ranuncs for the past few weeks.
