Mini's & miniflora's
Since this seems to be one of those "forgotten" form's, I'll blast away.
I've been growing these beauties since 1990. At one time I had 78 different varieties with duplicates of many of them. Too much work keeping up with them and the rest of my garden and working as a drywall finisher. It was time to get things under control. You talk about a hard bullet to bite. By 2000 I had it down to 35 varieties with just a couple of duplicates. Then in 2008 when I retired and moved to N.E. GA., I whittled it down some more. I'm now down to 24 varieties with mostly doubles of each varieties. There's only two more varieties I'll be putting in. Starina and Arcanum. Here are some of my favorites.

I have Sweet Mallie, Robyn Alonzo, peppermint Twist, Brookstown Inn, Tiffany Lynn.
I also have a grocery store mini that is so close to being dumped because I can't keep up with the blackspot even with vigorous spraying. If I spray and it is still full of blackspot. It is too much work.

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoThat's a great collection, Ken. They all look like winners. I will take note of these. Leading Lady is really something! I've heard good things about Pierrine. I grow Marriota, Olivia Rose and the micro-mini Baby Austin. I gave away several others to make room for a climbing rose.

6 years agoTime to update this thread. I have purchased a few more mini Floras and Minis and considering ordering Whirlaway . I need a white that's going to get good size. So here's some of the ones that are now doing really well for me.
peppermint twist
first and foremost. My new favorite. It's one of those Roses that's tough to get an accurate color it's a very orange with a pink undertone.Brookstown Inn. With each flush this Rose continues to get prettier and prettier.
Tiffany lynn. Such a pretty girl.
I am still saving plenty of room for all the Dave bang roses that I am impatiently waiting for and I'd also like to add Memphis music
