My hubby is very inexperienced with maintaining a nice lawn and has no desire to do so. That being said he laid fertilizer down last week after I pestered about the state of the lawn. Anyhow, the lawn needed to be dethatched which I did a few days ago as it was so heavily compacted. That being said, should we be laying down more fertilizer now that it has the chance to actually do something? I feel like it was likely useless when applied last week as even water was bouncing off the compacted lawn.
