Love the yellow door. Gray is a good trim color. Or orange door/ hunter green.

I can't tell what the material is around the garage door (the light color), but if that is wood, can you stain it the same color as the house? It's so light that it draws your eyes there instead of your very cool-looking house.

Are all the exterior walls cedar? If so, you can get an expert opinion from a pro about cleaning the older cedar if you want to lighten it up. If you just want a more opaque stain over the cedar, you can choose a yellow tan or light gray like the inspiration photo.
