If you can, invite some predatory wasps and hoverflies into your garden. Also, I've heard that using a "trap" crop like radishes might distract 'em.

I'm not a huge fan of pesticides so I would be inclined to try the soap recipe that Skybird suggested for aphids.

Ok, thanks. I think I'm going to try some Neem oil and see if that helps. And I like the idea of a plant to distract them, since any spray application will have to be applied daily with all the rain we've been getting. I don't know if the wasps we have are predatory, but their numbers are increasing and I know they live that area so maybe they will help.
