They all look great! I have Ann Kulpa who was planted in 2014. Gets a lot of morning sun and dappled afternoon sun and has grown a lot! Gonna have to move her. Here is a pic of her sandwiched in between Luna Moth and Morning Dove.

GE is awesome! One day I might try one just to see if I have any luck. It sure is a good grower for some of you guys, definitely you!

I think it just needs way more sun than most. Going from my own that is growing well in alot of sun and the pic above. Lots of water and more than usual sun seems to do it.

I agree with Miketropic. I have finally succeeded with GE by growing her in a lot of of morning sun and dappled afternoon sun and regular watering.

I could not get the little fart to grow. No matter what I did. I finally tossed it after seeing others. Had it for over 10 years and it was only 3 eyes and about 12" high. Yours is a real stunner.

That's the secret, folks, for GE...and not just in zone 5. Sun promotes vigour! My former GE kicked me in the butt and died on me few years back because I dared move it! The two I have are doing great and staying put....may have to move the foundation for one though lol.

Jo,I followed your advice and put GE in sun and that small thing is growing now :-) Sun definitely makes a difference with this one. Thank you!

I don't think I have shown my GE runt before, have had this since 2012/13, it got planted with little care down in the wilds of my garden and left to fend for itself, this being before I found this forum and learnt what they need to survive. I rescued it in 2014 and potted it up and has been pretty much this size ever since, had it in the shade until last year so maybe it will do something now its in the sun.

Of course I do have the other one, I got this one in may last year looking fab, was nervous of how it would return this spring and was pleasantly surprised. In a weird way I won't feel ownership of this one until I've had it for a few years an not had it get smaller or croak. It is about four feet across, is in full sun and not a mark on it, lots of water.

Mountainyman, those are both lovely, but the big one, WOW. Quite an accomplishment as she is notoriously hard to grow.

Mountainy Man-My GE likes the sun, and to be truthful, I planted it and let it do it's thing-thankfully, it likes where I put it-A little mid-day sun and dappled shade in the evening.
