Slippery bathtub

A contractor painted our bathtub and shower surround without advising us of the slippery surface that would result in the tub. It is too dangerous now for people to use it. Any suggestion for a remedy that doesn't include vinyl tub mats or stick-on decals? We are looking for something more permanent

Thank you! This looks like s great answer. I will have to find an expert who knows something about this type of product. Maybe a seller of bath tubs?

Not gonna be compatible with paint on a tub. That paint wont last wither. Better to rip it all out and start over like should have been done from the beginning.
