Badly burnt leaves on apple tree with fruit on

I'm new to this, so please excuse any ignorance I demonstrate.
I have an 3.5ft apple tree in a pot in my courtyard that had plenty of blossom last month and this month plenty of apples forming.
However a couple of days ago we had some very heavy rain followed by some very bright sun (I'm on Dartmoor, Devon, UK - the weather tends to change drastically within moments). Within hours the leaves became shrivelled and yellow, and by the next day were mostly brown. I's say whilst all leaves are effected, about 80% look almost completely beyond use.
I imagine this is quite likely going to negatively effect the crop? Is there anything I can do?
Thank you. James
