Wow! And in such great shape, too! The nursery closest to me carries Monrovia hostas but not that size. I was going to ask if Monrovia's is trusted to be disease free before buying any - you just answered my question!

Don- Yep. #5 is 3.7 - 3.9. I just looked a some of my Monrovia #5 size pots and they say 1400 (!!!!) on the bottom.

Kay21- Just a word of caution... I used to frequent a nursery that carried hostas from several suppliers. There they were all lined up. When I told the manager about the very obvious HVX on a few of them, he just said "our customers like that they are unusual looking. Then I watched as a worker pruned the spent flower stalks going from pot to pot probably infecting every single hosta he cut, the Monrovia ones too. Even if you start out with super clean plants, it is how they are handled along the way that can mess things up. Dealing with a nursery that is very aware of HVX and takes precautions to sell disease free plants is the way to go.

Yikes Babka! Is it safe if they ONLY carry hosta from Monrovia? I check the labels but end up deciding to order online to be safe. Except I don't order b/c I still haven't figured out where to plant the ones I have....

Kay21- I don't know where Monrovia gets their tc's or if they test. They are a well known and respected company, and many of our local nurseries carry their stock. Most of my yard is landscaped with Monrovia plants.
