Yes they just opened up, even though all the floricanes are currently ripening their fruit. Very strange lol

You sure it's a primocane? Sometimes a cane you cut back the previous year to the ground can do this from what I've seen. The growth looks young but go down to the bottom of the cane and see if that is older.

I will check but I don't think so. I had several weak floricanes that I cut to the ground and some of them did have little flower shoots that emerged a few inches from the ground but they look very different and flowered a long time ago. This cane only has flowers at the tip and this cane is still getting longer. I have never seen a floricane continue to grow longer.
