The garlic in my raised bed is looking like a total loss for storable bulbs. About half is already rotted to the point that I had to pull the plants.

This morning.. already pulled a bunch.

White fluffy mold, black sclerotia, rotted roots, rotted basal leaves...

So they have baby bulbs and some peeking scapes. A shame to throw in the trash... lets make some lemonade! Peel off the leaves (including the rotted ones around the base), cut off the basal plate, and voila!

Stick it in a food processor, some oil, salt and pepper...

Super spicy and delicious pesto. This is going to make me some pasta sauce for lunch this week.

Thankfully my in ground beds are in mostly better shape than the raised one (very strange), and I should get some bulb harvest. I am torn what to do for next year though.. should I grow garlic at all? Replant my harvested cloves? Plant in a different location? I would have to make one.

I assume this is white rot, but knock on wood it hasn't seemed to effect my onions, and my leeks only once or twice.
