      Hi. This is a tight knot western red cedar left natural - no finish. It has now turned a silver grey.

      I'd love to see an image of the house in its weathered state. We are also planning for a large section of timber facade left to weather.

      So you feel that as long as there is sufficient air space behind the cedar, no treatment is needed for the life of the product? Why do you think there is so much controversy about this? I'm doing siding now over airspace and love the natural look but I'm afraid of curling especially in my dry montana climate.
