Photos? Sounds like mealie bugs but no telling for sure without photos. Or if they are faded larger patches it could be powdery mildew.

No expert here but somebody who had "white spots" on some of his plants. I developed mine from having the proper amount of humidity for my plants but NOT providing the proper amount of air moving through the area at the same time. I saw small amounts of "white spots"/powdery mildew appear on several of my plants.

I caught mine early. I was able to trim off the affected leaves and then added a couple of small 12v computer fans to the plant racks just to keep some air moving.

That was a while ago and I have not had any subsequent occurrences. Don't know if powdery mildew or mold is your problem but thats what mine was.
