Hi, this is my first post here.

I have a 2-story house, with site-finished oak on the first floor, and carpet upstairs. I'll be

replacing some of the upstairs carpet with wood, and would prefer to use prefinished, for ease of installation, since I'm planning to install the flooring myself. I'm attaching a photo showing the view from upstairs, where the new floors will be visible next to the existing banister and the oak floors downstairs. I'm looking for the best option to either a) match the banister and the oak downstairs as much as possible, or b) provide an interesting but beautiful contrast to it. My apologies for the poor lighting, I've attached another pic showing the color of the original floors in better light.
