Add a large piece of Art on the wall and make it the focal point to anchor a room. A large piece of Art can really bring in a wave of deftness and add more color and life to your room. It acts as a style to your room.

Yes new image needed....so that everyone can see what I am....it is a pitched or angled ceiling so very careful choices on how things are places and hung..you could also do a vertical mirror to the left and again add layered art in smaller size it front of it off to the right to balance it out...

The mantel needs to be heavier and more substantial-looking, as does the mantel decor. The lanterns may be acceptable, but remove the small things. Fewer and larger decorative items on a beefier mantel will work. Add a large piece of art over the mantel under the higher part of the ceiling.
