None of the above. No fence at all.

The houses are mostly transitional. And actually, we are thinking in terms of keeping the neighbor's little dog off our property as well. They stake him out sometimes and he can get about 1/3 of the way across our yard. This a recent development so we haven't talked to them yet but plan to this weekend.

Buy an invisible fence for your neighbor if you are in a generous mood to solve other people's problems for them. Otherwise, call animal control. And I love animals. I just can't stand irresponsible animal owners.

We would rather have a fence regardless of the neighbor's dog. We have never had a problem with the neighbors so I'm not ready to go to extremes yet.

I prefer white vinyl 6 foot privacy fence in the backyard, but that wasn't an option above. The height keeps the deer out of our backyard and out of my garden. My dogs are safely contained. There are homes in our area that have an iron view fence and zero privacy. iMO, a view fence is akin to a chain link fence offering no privacy. Isn't privacy a reason for having a house?

I like the first one best, second one looks like something for a garden n third is fine if u need privacy but I wouldn't go with this particular one. (what's up with the long post for the door, looks strange)

Hold off telling ur neighbor about the dog, esp if u r sure u want a fence, could start a grudge on their part, some people r to sensitive about their pets, seem to have no common sense either.

I mean I like animals too but come on, I don't want to clean up after other people's pets! Lol. :)

I've always been and always will be a fan of added privacy, which is why I must choose that option.

I would want privacy for say, a backyard with a grill or deck. Perhaps an area with some visibility at the front yard but a definite (dog impenetrable) boundary, maybe in the same style as the back fence but lower so people can see over it to find the entrance to your house.

Is this going in a back yard? If so the 2nd or 3rd one but if it is going around a front yard, then the 1st one. I don't understand people who don't want fences. For me they are an absolute must. I don't want people to be able to just walk up on me and I don't want to be observed in my back yard any more that I want to see neighbor's back yards with all their swing sets, trampolines, grills, trash cans etc. I keep my gates padlocked. Too many crazies in the world. And if you have pets I can't even imagine no fenced back yard. The invisible ones where the dog wears a collar are not completely safe and it's weird.

I do love the rustic feel of the wood & wire but if your in a newer neighborhood it probably won't go with the design of your & your neighbors homes. I think the privacy fence is beautiful & perfect for when you just want to relax & get away from the world.

I am going to say:

It depends on what style house you have and it depends on your goals.

I love my neighbor on one side and want to see them and talk to them.

I have a day care on the other side of me and I used to like them, but am no longer fond of the people who own it and they have added a lot of visual clutter on that side of the property, by letting their property break down. Behind them are people who recently bought the house and who sit outside and talk all night long. My house is well-insulated, but I no longer have a sense of privacy in the Summer. I contemplated a privacy fence, but like my other neighbors and didn't want to spend that much for a whole fence.

I am solving it by using hedge bushes on that side of my property.

Those were my goals.

Yours will either be privacy or safety or a sense of boundary or getting rid of the visual clutter.

I would like to suggest you wood fence is much better than other options. It is an affordable, easy to maintain and easy to install your residential and commercial property. Its looking beautifull and available variety of design, and coulors also.
