Okay to use in Tea?!

I have a Costco Lavender plant and would love to make some lavender tea! I am just concerned if the plant has been treated with pesticides. Is it a good idea to make tea from it?! If so, do I just cut the fresh flower buds off and use that part for tea?!

I wouldn't use a plant for tea or any other consumed product unless it is labeled 'Organic' as grown.

I wouldn't use anything from Costco as a culinary herb until you have grown it out for many weeks.
