This is beautiful and exactly what we are planning to do, including the contrast between the light wood floor on the first floor and the darker color wood (chocolate brown) on the stairs. But we are really struggling to figure out what to do on the second floor hallway where it meets the stairs. Did you use hardwood on the second floor hallway? If so, did it match the ligher or darker color. If you used carpet, what color did you use (a brand, style and color recommend would be greatly appreciated)? Thanks and great work!
