Hi Sarah, I would recommend that you let your current and future needs dictate what size range you or a future buyer will need. However consider what size range you really want, as it is difficult to change to a smaller/larger size later on. There's nothing worse than saying to yourself over the next several years that "I should have picked the other range, it would have worked and looked so much better". I don't think the "look" will be an issue. You must consider how you use your kitchen. Are you using a 30" now that totally meets your needs? If so, then use the money elsewhere. If the size of your cooking surface is a functional priority then go 36". Everyone has a budget and there are so many details in the kitchen that you must pick your battles. Prioritize and good luck!
