A few reasons to smile

Here's a few that gave me a reason to smile this morning!

POSEIDON is amazing!

ZAIDE

LADY OF SHALOTT

SAVANNAH - I like this one, and am pleased so far with the roses I ordered from Chamblees. Prettypetals, I think you were the one who mentioned the fragrance, yes, I love it!

GRANADA - One gorgeous rose!

KATHLEEN HARROP - I am surprised at how many blooms this one has the second time around, was not expecting it at all.

Smile indeed!! Most of these I have and love. They are so photogenic. I can't remember the fragrance on Savannah and mines not blooming right now. I cut all of mine back and soooo ready to cut some more big handfuls!!

Poseidon is amazing for you Sara-Ann! But Lady of Shalott really caught my eye too.

I've been describing Savannah's fragrance as smelling like baby powder or baby products, for lack of a better description! Does she remind anybody else of that?

Nice shots! Hope my new 'Granada' puts forth one like yours.

Fantastic posiden !! What a great rose . How big is your Savannah ? I have one new this spring as well from chamblees and it's still very small . It has one bud but it's gotta be about the same size as when I got it !

If it smells like lavenderandlace describes that's fantastic!

Thank you so much everyone! I'm not sure how to describe Savannah's fragrance, except very pleasing. Lilyfinch, I'm sure all my Chamblees roses have doubled in size since I planted them. While Savannah is the only one that's bloomed, the others are getting ready to and look great. The other varieties are Pretty Lady, two Dark Desires, and Pretty Lady which are all potted like Savannah, and Quietness which I planted in the ground. Poseidon is an exceptionally healthy rose here. Irisgal, I've always admired Granada, decided to try it, at first the blooms didn't look like much, but are looking good, I'm pleased!

I have a lot of Savannahs that are pushing six feet, some planted last October! They stayed green all winter and started blooming the middle of February. My blooms started out hard and flat and then became big and soft, very long lasting.

Lily and Sara-Ann, what kind of soil do you have?

Wow, your Poseidon is amazing! Is yours own root or grafted? If grafted, is it multiflora?? Thanks.

Sara-Ann, they made me smile, too.

Thank you! Lavender, I use Miracle Gro Potting Mix for potted roses. Karen, my Poseidon is grafted on multiflora from Palatine, third season. Thanks, Kentucky, that's very sweet of you!

Wow! Love that GRANADA! I've been trying to get it for yrs. It always ends up dying or isn't the right rose. Got one again this yr. Still waiting to see if it'll be right...

My POSEIDON is doing the same thing as yours... throwing out massive clusters! Love 'em!!

For some reason, I thought that gorgeous Poseidon didn't like high heat. Has that been an issue for anybody? How is the fragrance?

Sara-Ann, your pictures definitely make me smile, thank you!
