Their trees are over priced even with 25% off. Stick with a real citrus grafting place. Their trees are also miss represented in their write-ups.

Steve, that is what I thought and why I haven't ordered from them before. They don't mention that their citrus is grafted or not (that I saw) they aren't just large rooted cuttings are they? I also noticed that they had pretty generous outdoor growing zone labels, like that a Vari. Pink Lemon was hardy to 20 degrees and suitable to be grown in ground to zone 8. The only reason I would consider it is to get a large tree. Ponderosa's (as well a most everything else) are sold out at FW and the tree's from Harris and Mckenzie are only 1 gallon trees, for something that produces small fruit I don't mind getting the smaller size but for the Ponderosa I would love to start with a larger tree so I din't have to wait years before I let it carry any fruit. But in all reality I don't need another tree, or as many tree's as I now have....I went from two to ten this year, but it is nice to daydream about it and scope out the wishlist trees. I am sure I will impulse by another tree at some point this year.

It generally doesn't work to get a larger tree. That larger tree will have been root bound probably a couple of times. The poderosa lemon will grow so fast that it might take at most 1 year longer but then the smaller tree will pass the larger tree up.

I have ordered from them before and the trees they have (not the ones they "sell" which are from FW) have been fine. The tall ones are a bit lanky and yes, probably overpriced, but the free shipping is a good deal. I just ordered my olive tree from them and it is a spectacular tree. To get free shipping I also ordered a Pixie that came directly from FW. It arrived a couple of days ago after a week in the mail and seems fine. My big Meyer (Alexander) is from them. He is grafted and has been a fine tree.
