I am planning on making a 2 piece formal top and skirt. The top calls for a separating zipper. Finding an invisible separating zipper in the color and length I need seems to be difficult. Is it possible to install a separating zipper in a lapped style? I've done lapped zippers, and separating zippers but never done one this way. I really don't want the zipper to show, so the lapped application seems to be the best option. Has anyone done one like this? I guess I could buy one and try it, but I thought I'd check with the experts here first.
