The material is Aluminum Composite. It's a layer of plastic sandwiched in between 2 layers of aluminum films and all are attached to a double side tape.

So this makes it very easy to cut the tile. You can use a utility knife to cut in between the pixels, or a sheet metal scissor/end nipper to cut the pixels.
