We are building a texas ranch style house with farmhouse character and chose concrete floors thru out (kids, dogs, baby goats etc.) The entire house inside & out is white 'spun sugar' by Behr. The door & accent color is blue grey, also from Behr 'sky light blue'. The cabinetry in kitchen & bathroom is pewter grey. Darker wood furniture and shevles in main open floor concept are being used. House will have clean lines and lots of windows/natural light.We picked a Kemiko black stain for floors that will be diluted to our liking. Does anyone have a suggestion for the depth and darkness we should be aiming for? I love the soft look of light grey,raw concrete, and also love the darker tortoise shell look you can acheive by going darker. I even love the super dark, almost all black with hints of grey. I am wondering if I choose too light a grey, if everything will look the same color. Too dark, and it will look too busy or not flow with the vibe of the house. Any suggestions?
