I was in Las Vegas last week and saw several JJ plumerias at lowes. I bough this 1 tipped plumeria and had challenge packing it. It was in 1gallon pot so at the counter after purchased I dumped the soil and just had the rootball with some soil around packed in plastic bags tightly. I placed the plant in a big 2/2 ziploc bag filled the bag with air and placed the package between clothes in checked in suitcase. After opening the pack back home I noticed all the roots separated from root ball and almost all leaves gone. I have attached before and after pics.

How do everyone bring plumerias in flight? What could I have done differently to avoid this issue? I am so disappointed the way the plant looks now but I have potted it in a gallon container and will leave it in shade for couple of days before taking it out.
