Looks like snake oil lol

All the top growers here in the north uses lava rock, or called volcanic rock with their mixture they put rocks in the bottom of pot some potting mix mixed the perlite and put volcanic rock in with the mix. I have checked this rock out at our landscaping and it is called Scoria, you can get different sizes also on ebay you can get 15kg bag for around $.65.00 I don't think you would use too much with the potting

I know nothing about this product. All I can say is read the labeling carefully and cross research it. Kinds of volcanic rock and their mineral compositions vary widely but overall I am not aware of any of them that contain a wide array of useful minerals for plants. Some are quite harmful in fact. On the other hand I do know a number of people who add a dash of lime and kelp powder to their soil mixes to cover more than 80 basic trace and necessary minerals for plants.

The plants I have bought and seen they seem to be forever green I don't know if it the lava mix or good old fertilizer I know all the cacti people uses it.

I think plants love Lava ash, it has good stuff in it, potash, magnesium, potassium, copper, zinc. A little goes a long way. I put some on in a pot with 3 seddlings. If they do well, I will add to all of my plants.

I think in USA its called Azomite. U never know maybe Its so good my adeniums will start growing fruit. Lol

I use a product here that I add to my soil mix called Glacial Rock Dust. A small amount for each gallon of mix.

The is a Product called "Azos", but I believe it is a Root stimulator not the same.

Great advice, Rachel. A lot of that stuff gets into your lungs and never comes out so good idea to wear a mask and pre-rinse everything and do the work outside rather than in the house. While the particles themselves may not be toxic, they do build up over time.

Talk about caring for ourselves, when was the last time we bought vitamins to boost our health. Lol. The last few months, I only purchased fertilizers, soil, manures, Pesticides, and fungicide. I think they are spoiled. :)

I use vitamins, exercise, hike, wear a mask, and generally try to take care of myself. We also grow a lot of our own food, don't eat pre-processed foods, and even bake our own bread every week because we prefer bromide free bread (bromide being hard on your thyroid, especially for women it's not good for you). But we don't need to get too far off topic and derail the original post. ;)

My father used to be a manager in a factory that manufactured fertilisers. He always made sure that the workers were fully protected with the appropriate clothing and masks for workplace health & safety. So, I guess I learnt that from him.

Further off the track i work under ground in a coal mine the next big thing is diesel fumes they have proven links to cancer we know wear face masks containing charcoal to catch the particulates so dont run your diesel cars in the garage without protection.
