Wow Stephen !!!! Your roses look awesome !! Timf is gorgeous, and so is William , are you worried wb will crowd out timf? I have a problem with planting too close .. I will regret that in a couple years lol

TIMF is actually climbing up into WB, so I'm not too concerned with them. They're both quite healthy, with WB naturally coming out ahead. In essence, WB is serving as TIMF's living trellis.

TIMF is interesting in that now, he is throwing thicker canes but they grow tall. Last year, the cane that is providing this year's vertical blooms came towards autumn; it reached over six feet and bloomed, and kept growing a couple times on its way to that height. He seems like he's going to be quite a big fellow in time. His newest bigger/thicker canes that were terminating in bud clusters are already re-sprouting from several inches below the developing candelabra to grow even more. It's hard to get that in a picture.

Helen Hayes is one of Dr. Brownell's roses, often hyped as "Sub-Zero" roses along with several others. She is completely thornless and gives much more gorgeous blooms in autumn like this one from last year.
